When attempting to register for the WHP event I received a red pop up notice that the car is not eligible for track night events due to the convertible policy. when I read the policy it would appear to me that the car should be eligable. The car in question is a 2016 Porsche Boxster with the standard factory roll over hoops and reinforced windshield surround. Is it correct that this car is ineligible? It seems odd seeing that many other organizations accept the Boxster for track day events.
Hi Rick,
You're good. Are you using an old version of Internet Explorer by chance? We've experienced that glitch with a couple other people as well. If you have another web browser, try that, or if it will let you ignore that message and proceed, please do. Most 2006 and newer vehicles are fine unless they've been modified: https://www.tracknightinamerica.com/pages/rules-and-regulations#accordion_item_1964986. We'd love to have you join us!
Junfeng,
For the Track Touring Laps session, absolutely, bring the whole family, anyone over the age of 12 is welcome! For the at speed sessions though we do have a much stricter policy for everyone's safety: https://www.tracknightinamerica.com/pages/rules-and-regulations#accordion_item_1964968. Generally, we find that most of our participants perform better in a lower stress environment without someone in the right seat pushing them to drive past their own comfort level.
So... how many cars are in the intermediate/advance group right now
