Daytona International Speedway is a race track in Daytona Beach, Florida. Since opening in 1959, it has been the home of the Daytona 500, the most prestigious race in NASCAR. In addition to NASCAR, the track also hosts races of ARCAAMA SuperbikeUSCCSCCA, and Motocross. The track features multiple layouts including the primary 2.5-mile (4.0 km) high-speed tri-oval, a 3.56-mile (5.73 km) sports car course, a 2.95-mile (4.75 km) motorcycle course, and a 1,320-foot (400 m) karting and motorcycle flat-track.

Track Nighters will enter and check in at Gate 40- after check-in participants may head to the parking area adjacent to the International Horseshoe marked as Track Night Paddock on the map.

When you arrive at gate 40, look for the Grassroots Motorsports pop-up tent, bring your helmet and tech sheet and come see us.  If you do not have a tech sheet, one will be provided for you.

After you are checked in, you will head into the Speedway, and we will paddock adjacent to the International Horseshoe Stands.  Please allow enough time to get checked-in, to your paddock location and prepared for your driver's meeting.

Grid will be on the Truck Pad.  For each session we will make a PA call for drivers to come to the grid, so you may return to paddock between sessions, mingle or watch other drivers on track.

I have some guys coming to watch. Do they register before?

    James Vincent Rodatus

It's a good idea.  Just have them sign up for Track Tours.

    Damon G.

I went last time, you just have to tell them you’re watching at the gate and sign a waiver.

    Cody H.

I have another friend who signed up for novice, and I wanted to drive with him. I noticed novice for Thursday now says “WAIT LIST”. How long is the list? What happens if I’m not at the top by the time of the event?

I am ready to register now if we can make accommodations for one extra driver in that group, and I’d greatly appreciate it.  Thank you!

    James Vincent Rodatus

There are 21 people on the list.  If you don't get to the top of the list by the day of the event, you don't get in.

If you have a passenger on the track tour laps, are they required to wear a helmet?

    James Vincent Rodatus

    No helmet required.

Are ride alongs with friends in the passenger seat of my car allowed or is it at cost to them?

    James Vincent Rodatus

We only allow passengers on Track Tour laps.  Track Tour laps are free.

    Carl B.

I would like to take 2 people out for the Tour Parade Laps.  They will not be arriving with me but will come on their own.  Do they need to fill out paperwork to register in advance or do they just just in with me.  I am registered in the advance group.  Thanks

    James Vincent Rodatus

They need to register online and sign up for Track Tours.
