As before, here's a lap of Thunder Hill West from SCCA Track Night in America.  This time, however, my 2016 MX-5 is wearing new BFGoodrich Rival S 1.5 tires whereas at the previous event I'd used just the stock street tires (Bridgestone S001).

Even taking it easy around the track, as I'm doing here, the car was about 8 seconds faster.  It had huge grip around the turns and felt very confident.

It was tempting to go faster, and I knew a lot more speed was possible, but it's still only my second time tracking this car, and I'm aware of my lack of experience.  I was keeping big safety margins and concentrating on developing my lines and familiarity with these new tires.
